Privacy Policy — ClockAura

ClockAura is an independent productivity-tools project. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what controls you have. We do not sell user data and we do not require sign-up to use any timer or tool on the site. The short version is that we store only what is needed to make your saved timers, lists, preferences and contact-form messages work. Everything is tied to an anonymous client ID generated in your browser, never to your name or email.

When you visit ClockAura, almost everything stays in your browser. Your anonymous client identifier, your interface preferences (theme, sound choice, volume, mute state, selected world-clock cities), saved date countdowns (title, target date, shareable slug), random-picker lists you choose to save, interval-timer presets you save, and your Pomodoro session history are all stored in your browser's localStorage on the device you are using — they are never sent to a remote database. Clearing your browser data removes them. If you email us at info@clockaura.com, we keep the message in our regular email inbox so we can reply. Our hosting provider (Hostinger LiteSpeed) temporarily records standard server logs — IP address, user-agent, request path — for security and abuse prevention; these logs are retained per Hostinger's default policy and we do not export or analyse them. None of this data is sold or shared with data brokers.

We do not store your real name, your email address (unless you write to us), any password, a long-term tracking cookie of our own, or your precise location. We do not access your browsing history outside ClockAura. We do not access device contacts or files. The site's timer logic runs entirely in your browser, so the values you type into a timer, the names you spin on the picker wheel, and the durations you measure with the stopwatch never leave your device unless you explicitly save them.

ClockAura itself does not set tracking cookies. We use the browser's localStorage to remember your anonymous client ID and your preferences. Third-party services on the site — primarily Google AdSense — do set cookies. AdSense uses cookies to serve advertisements that may be based on your previous visits to ClockAura and to other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads or aboutads.info/choices. Google's full advertising policy is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. We may also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages visited, country, device type). Analytics data is anonymous and is not associated with individual users.

If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA: the right to access the data tied to your anonymous client ID, the right to deletion, the right to rectification, the right to data portability, and the right to object to advertising cookies. If you live in India, you have equivalent rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act) — the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and the right to grievance redressal. ClockAura is operated from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India and complies with the DPDP Act. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@clockaura.com with a description of your request. We may ask you to provide your anonymous client ID — visible in your browser's localStorage — so we can verify the request. We respond within thirty days.

ClockAura is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen years old in the United States or under sixteen in the EEA. The tools work without any sign-up and parents are welcome to use them with their children freely. If you believe a child's information has been collected, contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we update the "Last updated" date at the top of the rendered policy page. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy. For privacy questions or opt-out requests, email info@clockaura.com or use the Contact page.
