Embed Builder — Add a ClockAura Timer to Any Website

The Embed Builder lets you generate an iframe snippet to drop any ClockAura timer into your own website, blog, Notion page, learning management system, intranet or course platform. Pick the timer, set the default duration, choose a theme, copy the iframe code, paste it where you want the timer to appear. No sign-up, no API key, no branding watermark, no per-impression fee — every embed is free and lives on as long as ClockAura does.

The builder supports every main timer on the site: Stopwatch, Countdown Timer, Pomodoro Timer, Interval Timer (HIIT/Tabata/EMOM), Alarm Clock, Egg Timer, World Clock and the shareable Event Countdown. For each, you can pre-set the starting duration (so visitors do not have to type it themselves), pick light or dark theme, choose whether the alarm sound plays automatically, and adjust the iframe width and height. The preview pane updates live as you change settings.

The most-common embed use cases we have seen: teachers embedding a Pomodoro timer in a Notion lesson plan, coaches embedding a Tabata interval timer on a fitness blog, online course creators embedding a single-block countdown in a quiz module, productivity influencers embedding a Pomodoro on their newsletter landing page, and event organisers embedding an event countdown on a wedding invitation site. The iframe loads in under 200ms, weighs a few KB, and works inside every modern CMS — WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Squarespace, Wix, Notion, Coda, Tana, Confluence.

Technically, the embedded timer runs the same code as the standalone page on clockaura.com. It is a real working timer, not a screenshot or static image — visitors to your site can start it, pause it, reset it, and hear the alarm exactly like they would on our site. The iframe is sandboxed, respects the parent page's scroll behaviour, and never tries to escape its container.

Embeds are honest about origin: each iframe footer includes a small "powered by ClockAura" link to our site. This is the only branding requirement and the cost of keeping the embed free. You can hide the footer by passing ?nofooter=1 in the iframe src — useful when you are paying for an ad-free experience on your own platform. We are not strict about it, but a backlink helps us keep the lights on.

Privacy-wise, embedded timers are the same as our main site: no personal data collected on the embedded iframe, no third-party tracking via the iframe, no advertising injected into the iframe. Your visitors' privacy is the same as on clockaura.com proper. If you collect analytics on your own site, the iframe is a regular DOM element you can include in your tracking.

To start, set up the timer you want above using the picker, copy the iframe code, and paste it on your site. If you run into a CSP issue (Content Security Policy blocking the iframe), add `frame-src clockaura.com` to your CSP header. If you spot a bug or want a new timer added to the embed list, email info@clockaura.com — we ship most requests within two weeks.

About the Embed Builder

The Embed Builder gives you an iframe snippet that drops a live ClockAura timer straight into your own website, blog, course or wiki page. Choose a countdown or stopwatch, set the default duration, pick a light or dark theme, copy the code and paste it where you want the timer to appear. There is no sign-up, no API key and no per-impression fee — and the embedded timer is fully working, not a screenshot, so your visitors can start, pause and reset it without ever leaving your page.

When to use the Embed Builder

  • Embed a Pomodoro or study timer in a Notion lesson plan or course module.
  • Add a Tabata or interval timer to a fitness or coaching blog.
  • Put a countdown to a product launch, sale or registration deadline on a landing page.
  • Drop a wedding-day or event countdown onto an event page.
  • Add a session timer to a yoga, class or workshop page.
  • Place a shared timer on a team intranet, Confluence or internal dashboard.

How to embed a timer

  1. Choose the timer type — countdown or stopwatch.
  2. For a countdown, set the default hours, minutes and seconds, and tick auto-start if you want it running on load.
  3. Pick a light or dark theme and set the width and height to fit your layout.
  4. Click Copy code to copy the generated iframe snippet.
  5. Paste the snippet into an HTML or 'embed' block on your page and publish.

Tips for embedding timers

  • It works in every modern CMS — WordPress (Custom HTML block), Webflow, Ghost, Squarespace, Wix, Notion and Coda.
  • Set the parent container to max-width: 100% so the iframe scales cleanly on mobile.
  • Each embed shows a small 'powered by ClockAura' link; add ?nofooter=1 to the iframe src to hide it where allowed.
  • If your site uses a Content Security Policy, whitelist frame-src clockaura.com so the iframe can load.
  • Use a shareable timer link instead if you only need to send a one-off timer to someone.

Embed Builder FAQ

Is embedding a timer free?

Yes. The Embed Builder and every embedded timer are free, with no account, API key or per-impression fee.

Does it work on WordPress and Notion?

Yes. Paste the iframe into a Custom HTML block in WordPress, or an embed block in Notion, and the live timer appears.

Is the embedded timer real or just an image?

It is a real, working timer. Visitors can start, pause and reset it and hear the alarm exactly as they would on ClockAura itself.

Do I have to credit ClockAura?

Each embed shows a small 'powered by ClockAura' footer link. It is the only branding requirement, and it can be suppressed with ?nofooter=1 where appropriate.

Will the embed slow my site or track my visitors?

No. The iframe is a few kilobytes, loads lazily and carries no third-party tracking — your visitors' privacy matches clockaura.com.
