Online Alarm Clock — Free in Your Browser
Set the alarm time, leave the tab open, and ClockAura will play an alarm at the moment you picked. Perfect for naps, reminders, and timed tasks.
About the online alarm clock
An online alarm clock is the simplest way to make sure you don't lose track of a specific time of day — when the meeting starts, when the laundry needs to come out, when you need to leave to pick up the kids. ClockAura's alarm clock lets you set as many alarms as you like, label each one, and toggle them on or off without deleting them. Best of all, alarms keep ringing while you use other tools on the site — set an alarm for 3:30 pm, switch to the Pomodoro Timer, and a banner will pop up across the top of whatever page you are on the moment 3:30 hits.
When to use the alarm clock
- Reminders to take medication at the same time every day.
- Knowing exactly when to start cooking dinner without watching the clock.
- Leaving the house on time for the school run or a doctor appointment.
- Wrapping up a deep-work block at a fixed cut-off so you keep your evenings free.
- Starting a meeting with no calendar set up — just an alarm at the agreed time.
- Reminding yourself to drink water, take a walk or stretch every hour.
- Backup alarm for naps, meditations and cool-downs after long workouts.
- Catching the start of a livestream, sports match or webinar on time.
How to set an alarm
- Pick a time using the time field — the input on every modern browser uses your device's 12 or 24 hour format.
- Add an optional label so you remember what the alarm is for ('take meds', 'pick up Sam').
- Press Add alarm. The alarm appears in the list below with an on/off switch.
- Browse other tools on the site — when the alarm time arrives, an orange banner appears across every page with Stop and Snooze 5 buttons.
- Use the toggle to disable an alarm without deleting it. Disabled alarms are kept for next time.
Tips for using the alarm clock
- Allow notifications when prompted — ClockAura will send a desktop notification too, so you'll see it even if your tab is hidden behind another window.
- Pick a sound you'll actually notice in the Sound section, then test it once. If the room is loud, switch to Long beep or Bell.
- For naps, set two alarms five minutes apart. The first is a soft warning, the second the firm wake-up.
- If you use multiple devices, remember each device's alarms are local to that browser. Set the alarm on the device you'll have nearby.
- The Snooze 5 button is good for one repeat. Don't rely on it for the morning wake-up — set a fresh alarm at the actual time you need to be up.
Alarm clock FAQ
Will the alarm fire if my computer is asleep?
No. Browser tabs cannot wake a sleeping computer. The alarm will fire as soon as you wake the computer if the time has passed, but for hard wake-ups use your phone's native alarm app.
Can I set more than one alarm?
Yes — there is no limit. Add as many as you like; each has its own label, time and on/off switch.
Do my alarms persist if I close the tab?
Alarm definitions are stored in your browser, so closing and reopening the tab brings them back. They will not fire while the tab is closed though — keep the tab open or installed as a PWA for the alarm to ring.
Why does my alarm need notification permission?
It works without it, but with permission ClockAura can pop a system notification — useful when the tab is hidden behind another window or browser app.
Can I get a recurring alarm — every day at the same time?
Right now alarms are one-shot. After they fire, toggle them back on to repeat tomorrow. Recurring schedules are on the roadmap.
