There is no hard limit — set it ten years out if you want. JavaScript can comfortably represent dates thousands of years from now.
What happens when the date arrives?
The counter shows zero and a "Time's up!" message. Saved countdowns stay in your list until you delete them, so you can keep them as a memento.
Can I share my countdown with friends?
Yes — saved countdowns get a unique slug. Click 'Copy link' and send it. Anyone opening the link sees the same live counter.
Are the saved countdowns private?
They are not searchable on the site, but the slugs are short. Anyone who has the link can view it. Don't put sensitive information in the title.
Can I edit a saved countdown later?
Editing is on the roadmap. For now, delete the old one and create a new one with the right details.
